With 10Gs, jibes, Arvind Kejriwal takes on ‘INDIA’ ally Congress in Chhattisgarh | India News – Times of India

RAIPUR: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is seeking to make inroads in poll-bound Chhattisgarh, on Saturday said the schools in the state, which is governed by AAP’s INDIA ally Congress, were in a terrible condition.
“Bure haal hain (they are in terrible shape),” Kejriwal said. With the Delhi-based party looking to disrupt the political equation in Chhattisgarh, Kejriwal announced 10 “guarantees” which include Rs 3,000 monthly allowance for the unemployed, a monthly “samman rashi” assistance for women, and free electricity.
“It has been 76 years since India got independence but I’ve never seen a single political party saying that it will build schools and hospitals. Rather, they seek votes in the name of religion and caste. But AAP is determined to build the nation and will ask for votes for building schools and development,” Kejriwal said.
“I was reading a report that schools in Chhattisgarh are in terrible condition. One should look at how well government schools in Delhi are doing. We assure that if we come to power in Chhattisgarh, we will change the whole picture of schools and hospitals,” said Kejriwal. Addressing a gathering in Raipur, Kejriwal said that the AAP governments in Delhi and Punjab have fulfilled the guarantees given to people, and the same will be done in Chhattisgarh. “Our 10 guarantees are not like a fake manifesto or ‘sankalp patra’. Kejriwal will fulfil these, no matter what happens,” he said.
