Jaiswal was in prime form as he scored his first T20I fifty in just his second match for India. Chasing a target of 179 runs, Jaiswal formed a crucial partnership with Shubman Gill to get the visitors off to a flying start.

Jaiswal got to his half-century in the 11th over when he hit West Indies skipper Rovman Powell for a boundary over backward square leg. The left-handed batter got to the milestone off 33 deliveries.

Jaiswal and Gill registered India’s highest-ever opening stand in T20Is by stitching a 165-run stand. Both batters went on to score half-centuries with Jaiswal remaining unbeaten on 84 runs off 51 balls, hitting 11 boundaries and three maximums.

Gill departed in the 16th over of the game after hitting 77 off 47 balls, having assured India’s victory in the must-win game in Florida. This was the first time in the series that both openers looked assured of themselves and mauled everything that was thrown at them. Only Romario Shepherd was able to pick the solitary wicket from the West Indian side and registered the figures of 3-0-35-1.

In the first innings, Shimron Hetmyer hit 61 runs off 39 balls and Shai Hope scored a 29-ball 45 to propel the hosts to a total of 178 for 8 in 20 overs. Arshdeep Singh picked three wickets while Kuldeep Yadav claimed two.

India would be incredibly proud of how they have made a comeback in the series after going 0-2 down after the first two matches. They will play West Indies in the series decider on 13 August at the same venue.
