Video: Amit Shah's Narrow Escape As Chopper Briefly Loses Control
The chopper swaying to its right before the pilot regained control
Amit Shah, in the middle of a fake video row, had a narrow escape on Monday as his helicopter went out of control for a brief period before the take off from Begusarai in Bihar.
The Home Minister, 59, was in Bihar for a poll rally.
A video clip shows the chopper taking off, swaying to its right, almost touching the ground before the alert pilot takes back the control and the chopper regains its trajectory and flies away.
The BJP is contesting 17 seats in Bihar in partnership with Nitish Kumar’s JDU, which is contesting on 16 seats. Chirag Paswan’s LJP and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustan Awam Morcha, the other allies, will contest on 5 and 1 seat, respectively.
In the marathon seven-phased general election, four seats in Bihar went to polls in round 1.
Polling in the five Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar in phase 2 was conducted peacefully last Friday, with a provisional voter turnout of 58.58 per cent, almost 4.34 per cent lower than that of the 2019 general elections, officials said.
The votes will be counted on June 4.
