Uddhav Thackeray likens 40 Shiv Sena MLAs who left him to ‘crabs’ | Mumbai News – Times of India
Uddhav’s remarks, in response to a question if the government under his leadership was washed away in heavy rain last year, were part of the promo of the Sena (UBT) podcast which will be aired on Wednesday and Thursday in two parts. He was interviewed by UBT MP Sanjay Raut. In 2019, minister Tanaji Sawant had attributed a breach in Tiware dam in Ratnagiri, which claimed the lives of 18 people, to the weakening of the wall by crabs.
In the promo, apart from criticising CM Eknath Shinde and Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis, Uddhav also took a dig at the Election Commission (EC), saying “EC was not the Shiv Sena’s aunt to decide on Sena’s name and symbol.”
Responding to Fadnavis’s statement that Uddhav had backstabbed BJP, Uddhav asked if NCP had also backstabbed BJP, because of which BJP split NCP as well. On Shinde’s Delhi visits, he said “going and bowing before Delhi every other day was not ‘our culture’.”
