Supreme Court junks CBI’s plea against DK Shivakumar | India News – Times of India
A bench of Justice BR Gavai, Justice CT Ravikumar and Justice Sanjay Kumar said that the main matter is pending before the high court which can decide the case on merit and pass final order. The agency approached the SC against the February 10 order of the high court in the case. Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for Shivakumar, said the HC filed five interim orders after passing orders on his client plea but the agency did not challenge subsequent interim orders.
The bench said that it was not a fit case to interfere with the interim order and allowed the CBI to request the high court for speedy disposal of the case before it.
The HC had pointed out that the cases registered against Shivakumar were of 2020 and also questioned the CBI on the progress of the investigation over the last two years.
