Shattered by family suicide pact deaths, Gujarat siblings end life | India News – Times of India
On June 6, diamond artisan Vinu Moradiya, his wife Sharda, their daughter Senita (20), and son Krish (17) had consumed poison in Surat’s Nana Varachha. All four died during treatment. The couple’s two elder children, Rushita (25) and Parth (21), were not at home during the mass suicide. On Saturday, Rushita and Parth’s grandparents found the siblings dead in the house. Two days after her parents’ death, Rushtita had tried to kill herself by consuming phenyl but timely treatment saved her life.
“Rushita and Parth had slipped into severe depression after the death of four family members,” DSP Mihir Bariya said. The siblings consumed the rodenticide sometime on Friday night. It was on Saturday morning that the relatives got to know.
