Renu submitted documents relating to his previous medical treatments, including reports of a neurological hospital from Mathura.
Police will verify the authenticity of the documents and may also have government doctors examine Singh on the points in the reports.

Early on July 31, Singh had repeatedly told his senior, ASI Tikaram Meena, about feeling unwell and wanting to get off the train at Valsad, where the train was not supposed to halt. But Meena had suggested that he rest on the train instead. Singh had called up Renu to tell her he was not being allowed to get off the train despite feeling unwell. During the next conversation they had over the phone, he reported feeling better. His last call to her was after he got off the train at Mira Road. This time, he told Renu it was her responsibility now to raise their children.
Singh was interrogated for seven hours on Friday. Renu too was questioned for a long time. She told the police that Singh had fallen off a staircase a few years ago, following which he had developed neurological issues and was taken to various doctors in Mathura for treatment.

Police have recorded the statements of more than 100 people, including key witnesses of the shootings. Some witnesses reside in other states and recorded statements on email.
“Singh told me he feels anxious and has lost appetite. He has requested to be allowed to meet his wife and mother. He has also requested access to medical treatment,” his lawyer Amit Mishra said.

Singh will be produced before a magistrate court at Borivali on Monday. GRP will seek an extension in police custody.
