Raghav Chadha changes Twitter bio to ‘suspended MP’ | Delhi News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: AAP MP Raghav Chadha has changed his Twitter bio after he was suspended from Rajya Sabha for ‘gross violation of rules, misconduct, defiant attitude and contemptuous conduct’, pending a report by the privileges committee.

“Suspended Member of Parliament, India,” reads Raghav Chadha’s new bio on Twitter.

After his suspension, Chadha had said that his suspension was merely a temporary setback. “I will return stronger, more determined, and even more resolute in my pursuit of saving India’s democracy.”
He added that his suspension serves as a stark message from the BJP to today’s youth. “If you dare to ask questions, we will crush your voice. I was suspended for asking tough questions that left the BJP, the world’s largest party, without answers through my speech in Parliament on Delhi Services Bill.”
His suspension followed a motion moved by the Leader of House Piyush Goyal who sought action against the AAP leader for including names of four members of Upper House in a proposed select committee for the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023. The motion was passed by a voice vote.
