No-Confidence Motion Live Updates: Rahul Gandhi Will Not Open Day 2 Of No-Confidence Debate
New Delhi:
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will not open the debate on the no-confidence motion against the BJP-led government brought by opposition alliance INDIA today as he is headed to Rajasthan for a rally.
Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has told NDTV this morning that the leader would open the debate for the opposition. However, Mr Gandhi is scheduled to hold a public meeting and rally in Rajasthan. He will, however, be coming to the house before he leaves for Rajasthan.
Mr Gandhi is back as an MP after the Supreme Court stayed his conviction in a criminal defamation case over the ‘Modi surname’ remark.
The opposition bloc INDIA said it forced to bring the no-confidence motion against the government to break Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “vow of silence” on Manipur.
