Himalayan states including Himachal, Uttarakhand faced the worst crisis in the country as monsoon hit the region. Japan: Debris from flooding sits in the road in the city of Kurume, Fukuoka prefecture, on July 10 after heavy rains hit wide areas of Kyushu island. The island witnessed what forecasters warned as the “heaviest rain ever” in the region, which triggered a landslides killing six people and forcing large scale evacuation in the southwest Japan region.
