Monsoon session over, INDIA focuses on war plan ahead of Mum meet | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The opposition INDIA alliance has instructed its spokespersons to refer to the coalition as “INDIA Alliance” or “Team INDIA” in all their references and not use “dots” in INDIA, which is an abbreviation for the “Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance”.

With the monsoon session over, the allies are focussing on the third meeting of leaders in Mumbai on August 31 and September 1. Forming a 11-member coordination committee and four smaller committees with specific charges, is an immediate priority, said sources.
One of the first things is to create social media platforms for INDIA to build a common narrative to counter NDA. During the no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha, the parties shared videos of their members from each other’s handles to ensure maximum outreach.

Working on state-wise captains is an important task. For instance, in Maharashtra, the Sena (UBT) leadership will wear the captain’s hat, while in Bihar it will be chief minister Nitish Kumar, said sources.
A major issue for the INDIA alliance is to campaign against the ECI bill the government introduced in Rajya Sabha Thursday. The parties are drafting a resolution that they plan to bring jointly against Rajya Sabha chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar in the winter session.
Meanwhile, with a slew of assembly polls coming up, the bloc plans for at least two more meetings of its leaders before Diwali, it is learnt.
