Manipur Violence Latest News: Massive clashes in Manipur’s Bishnupur, no more further relaxation in curfew in Imphal | Imphal News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Fresh incidents of violence were reported at Bishnupur in Manipur on Thursday, said TV reports.

According to sources, protestors from Meitei community clashed with the security forces and to disperse the crowd, the forces resorted to heavy firing.
Meanwhile, cufew relaxations have been scrapped in Imphal (East) and Imphal (West) districts following the fresh incidents of violence.

In the ethnic violence that erupted in Manipur on May 3rd, at least 150 people, mostly from tribal communities, have lost their lives, and several others have been injured.
