Man scolds daughter, dies after she stabs him in the neck | Hyderabad News – Times of India

HYDERABAD: A 45-year-old labourer died after his daughter, said to be in her twenties, stabbed him in the neck with a broken bottle for reprimanding her over coming home late frequently, in Amberpet area of Hyderabad.

Police said the incident happened on Saturday around 11pm, and the victim, identified as Jagadeesh, died on Sunday while undergoing treatment. His daughter, Nikhitha, who works a salesperson at a store, has been taken into custody. On Saturday, a drunk Jagadeesh had scolded his daughter. Following an argument, Nikhitha picked up a broken bottle and stabbed him. Neighbours shifted Jagadeesh to the government-run Osmania General Hospital.
Nikhitha alleged that her father used to come home drunk and trouble her. Her mother also lives in the same house. A case was registered under Section 302 (murder) of IPC. “She attacked him in a fit of rage as he yelled at her for coming late, and was not willing to listen to her,” police said.
