Maharashtra reports first Covid-19 death in months | Mumbai News – Times of India
The deceased was a 75-year-old man who had a history of liver carcinoma, said Dr Daksha Shah, BMC’s executive health officer. She said that while the man was infected with Covid-19, the infection was not the primary cause of his death. Throughout June and July, the city had not experienced any Covid-related fatalities, except the one July death reported on Wednesday. Doctors said they rarely come across cases of Covid, although testing too has dropped drastically. The state reported 14 new Covid cases on Wednesday.
