It is ‘Ghamandia gatbhandan’, PM Modi attacks opposition’s INDIA | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday unleashed a scathing attack on opposition’s INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) and said it is not INDIA alliance but GHAMANDIA alliance.

“This is not INDIA but ‘ghamandia’ (full of arrogance) and every leader wants to be bridegroom in its wedding procession, he said quoting a Hindi idiom,” he said.

Taking a swipe at the new name, PM Modi said “opposition needed ‘NDA‘ to stay alive, they just added two ‘I’s to it due to their arrogance.” “You’re trying to pass off old vehicle as electric one just by applying new paint,” he added.
“I express my sympathies with my opposition friends. They performed last rites of UPA (United Progressive Alliance) recently in Bengaluru,” PM Modi said.

“Leaders of UPA think that by taking the help of country’s name, they can increase their credibility, cover their past misdeeds and rule the country,” PM Modi added.

Attacking the new opposition alliance, PM Modi said INDIA is a glaring example of dynasty politics, which was opposed by all the great leaders of the country.

“Our Constitution framers had criticised dynastic politics because it is harmful for common people’s rights,” PM Modi said and accused the Congress of promoting dynasty and coterie.
PM Modi also attacked the economic policies of opposition’s INDIA and said the people of the country should be warned about the outcomes of their promises.

“Their economic policies will spell doom for our economy and will lead to policy paralysis,” PM Modi said.
The Prime Minister took a dig at the Congress announcing guarantees to win elections and said these guarantees will ruin the country.
He also used cricket analogy to target the opposition over its no-confidence motion, saying that they set up the fielding but BJP hit fours and sixes.
PM Modi said even Congress “darbari” were disappointed by their performance.
“What kind of discussion have you done on this motion. I am seeing on social media ki ‘Aapke darbari bhi bahut dukhi hai’ (even your supporters are disappointed). This is your condition. Fielding Vipaksh ne organise ki lekin chauke-chakke yahi se lage’ (Fielding was set up by the Opposition, but sixes were hit from the side of treasury bench)…” PM Modi said in Lok Sabha.
Taking the attack to Congress, PM Modi said that people have no confidence in the grand old party.
“People of the country have no confidence in Congress. Due to arrogance, they are not able to see the reality. In Tamil Nadu, they won in 1962 and since 1962 the people of Tamil Nadu are saying ‘No Congress’. In West Bengal they won in 1972, people of West Bengal are also saying ‘No Congress’. In UP, Bihar, and Gujarat they won in 1985 and the people of these states are also saying ‘No Congress’…,” PM Modi said.
