Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday began an 11-day special ritual ahead of the consecration ceremony or “pran pratishtha” of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, which is scheduled to take place on January 22.

In an emotional message to the nation, PM Modi said that the feeling of “Ram Bhakti” is immersing the whole country in the run-up to the grand event. 

Calling the moment a “blessing of the almighty”, he expressed that he is “overwhelmed with emotions”.

“As it is said in our scriptures, we have to awaken divine consciousness in ourselves for the Yagya and worship of God. For this, fasts and strict rules have been prescribed in the scriptures, which have to be followed before consecration. Therefore, according to the guidance I have received from some pious souls and great men of the spiritual journey and according to the ‘Yama-Niyams’ suggested by them, I am starting a special ritual of 11 days from today,” the prime minister said in an emotional message to the nation,” PM Modi said.

Shri Ram Lalla To Enter Sanctum Sanctorum On January 18

Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on Monday disclosed crucial details about the upcoming pran prathistha ceremony of Shri Ram Lala in the newly constructed grand Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya.

According to CMO, the program and worship ritual of Shri Ram Lalla in his new grand temple in Ayodhya Dham on January 22 will start from January 16, while the idol which is to be placed in the sanctum sanctorum on January 18.

The Pran Pratishtha program, marking the pran prathistha of Shri Ram Lalla, is slated for January 22, taking place during the auspicious Abhijit Muhurta of Paush Shukla Dwadashi at 12:20 pm.

Centre Strengthens Healthcare Facilities In Ayodhya

The Centre on Monday said it has strengthened the medical facilities in Ayodhya ahead of the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple next week.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to perform the “Pran Pratishtha” of the idol of Lord Ram at the grand temple in Ayodhya on January 22 in the presence of more than 8,000 guests.

Lakhs of devotees are expected to throng the temple from January 23 onwards and elaborate arrangements are being made in the Uttar Pradesh town for the consecration ceremony and the visit of the devotees.

Secretary in the information and broadcasting ministry Apurva Chandra said a 120-bed hospital in Ayodhya has been upgraded and emergency beds have been added to it.

Ahead Of Consecration Event, AAP Plans ‘Sundar Kand’ Recitals In Delhi On Tuesdays

In an apparent attempt to counter the BJP’s focus on the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the AAP has announced its plan to hold “Sundar Kand” recital programmes across Delhi on Tuesdays.

The consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya will be held on January 22 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present there.

AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said he will join a “Sundar Kand” recital event along with his wife in the Rohini area and invited people to attend such programmes to be held near their homes.

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana Gets Ram Mandir Inauguration Invite

Ayushmann Khurrana is the latest actor to be invited to attend the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22.

He was personally handed over the invite for the ceremony by CA Ajit Pendse, Mumbai Mahanagar Sampark Pramukh of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Mumbai.

Several other celebrities including Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff, Hariharan, Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda have received the invitation for the Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony in Ayodhya.

Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya will begin on January 16, a week before the main ceremony.

Mauritians To Light Diya, Recite Ramayana During Ram Temple Inauguration

As the world anticipates the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, Haymandoyal Dillum, High Commissioner of Mauritius, revealed the grand plans for the Mauritian community to participate in the spiritual event.

UP Tightens Security In Ayodhya Ahead Of Ram Temple Opening

With the Ayodhya gearing up for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram temple on January 22, the Uttar Pradesh government has tightened security in the city by bolstering surveillance through drones.

The state government has incorporated technologies such as night vision devices (NVD) and CCTV cameras to monitor activities across the city.

Ayodhya IG Praveen Kumar told ANI, “We have tried to incorporate all types of technologies into drones, including NVD, infrared cameras, and CCTV for security.”

Additional Superintendent of Police, Pravin Ranjan Singh, said that they are monitoring through drones to catch any unusual activity or things in the city.

“We are doing surveillance through drones to catch any unusual activity or things in the city. We are also observing the roofs of buildings and houses to find any different or odd objects,” Mr Singh said.

Ram Lalla Idol By Mysuru’s Arun Yogiraj Selected For Installation At Ram Temple

A new idol of Ram Lalla sculpted by Mysuru-based Arun Yogiraj has been selected for installation at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, temple trust’s general secretary Champat Rai said on Monday.

Replying to queries at a press conference here, he said the current idol of Ram Lalla, which is being worshipped for the last 70 years, will also be kept in the sanctum sanctorum of the new temple.

The Ram temple “Pran Pratishtha” (consecration ceremony) is being organised here on January 22, and according to Rai, it will begin at 12:20 pm.

Ram Temple Inauguration: Trains Movement To Be Affected From Jan 16 To 22

Ahead of the Ram temple consecration ceremony here, the movement of trains will be affected from January 16 to 22 due to doubling of tracks and electrification being done on top priority, a senior Railways official said on Monday.

Ten trains, including Vande Bharat, have been cancelled while 35 trains, including Doon Express, will run on alternate routes. The run of 14 other trains will also be affected.

The Vande Bharat Express running from Ayodhya Cantt to Anand Vihar was earlier cancelled till January 15 for the ongoing works, said Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Northern Railway, Lucknow Division, Rekha Sharma.

Yet To Decide On Attending Ram Temple Event, Grateful To Be Invited: Mayawati

BSP supremo Mayawati on Monday said she has received an invitation for the January 22 consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya and is grateful for it, but a decision on attending it has not been taken yet because of certain party programmes.

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is a secular party and respects all religions. “In the future, if any such programme is held regarding the Babri Masjid, our party will have no objection to that also,” Mayawati said at a press conference organised here on her 68th birthday.

In 2019, the Supreme Court in its verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit had cleared the way for the temple to be built at the disputed plot of land in Ayodhya where the mosque stood before its demolition.

Ayodhya To Have India’s First Veg-Only 7-Star Hotel

The temple town of Ayodhya is set to get the country’s first seven-star luxury hotel that will serve only vegetarian food. It is in this city that the grand Ram temple will be opened next Monday.

A five-star hotel will also be set up by a Mumbai-based real estate firm in Ayodhya. A housing project will be launched too from January 22, the day consecration ceremony will be held at the temple.

The temple’s opening has triggered a series of development works in the city, including hotels and housing projects to make it a prominent hub.

Ahead Of Big Ayodhya Event, Delhi To Organise Sundarkand Path Tomorrow

The ‘Sundarkand’ segment from the Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’ will be recited in the Delhi assembly tomorrow, the Aam Aadmi Party government announced today.

AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said ‘Sundarkand’ and ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ will be recited in the assembly on the first Tuesday of every month.

The announcement comes ahead of the grand inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

As the country gears up to witness the grand ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to observe a ‘dry day’ on January 22 to mark the auspicious day.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Sunday that the state would observe a ‘dry day’ to mark the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram Lalla that will be held at Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya.

“We have decided that January 22 will be a dry day in the entire state… Shops selling any kind of alcohol or any other intoxicating substance would remain closed on that day,” Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said while speaking to reporters.

Eknath Shinde Directs Maharashtra Officers To Ensure Cleanliness Of All Temples

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday instructed the district collectors to undertake a cleanliness drive at all temples in the state and ensure the change is “visible” within a week, ahead of the consecration of Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.

Eknath Shinde gave these instructions at a review meeting chaired by him at his official residence here.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a call to keep temples clean. The district collectors in Maharashtra should undertake a cleanliness drive across all the temples and decorate them with electric lights. The change should be visible within a week,” Mr Shinde said.

Rajasthan Declares Dry Day On Ram Temple Consecration Day

Rajasthan government has declared a dry day on January 22 in view of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The joint secretary of the finance department (excise) issued an order to this effect on Sunday.

This comes after last week’s order by Jaipur Municipal Corporation Heritage Mayor Munesh Gurjar to keep all meat shops in the heritage area in the city closed on January 22.

Yogi Adityanath Flags Off 100 E-Buses In Ayodhya Ahead Of Ram Mandir Opening

As the country gears up to witness the grand Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday flagged off 100 electric buses for tourists in the city.

The operation of electric buses will be initiated on the Dharma Path and Ram Path. 100 electric buses will commence operations from January 15 onward in the city.

Ayodhya regional transport officer, Ritu Singh said “We are trying our best to provide clean transportation facilities. With the initiative of the honourable Chief Minister, the city is going to get electric buses. Ayodhya City Bus Transportation Ltd has been formed for the same.”

Hindu Outfit To Extend 10 Crore Invitations Across 56 Countries For Ram Temple Event

In a momentous declaration, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Alok Kumar revealed plans for a grand initiative spanning 56 countries, as dignitaries come together to extend invitations to 10 crore homes for ‘Pran Pratistha’ of Ram Temple.

“We will go to 10 crore households across 56 countries of the world and invite them…that they will have to come together at their nearby temple to watch this event,” said VHP International Working President Alok Kumar on the ‘Pran Pratishta’ of Ram Temple.

Madhya Pradesh Declares Jan 22 As ‘Dry’ Day To Mark Ram Temple Event

The BJP government in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday declared January 22 as a ‘dry’ day when liquor shops will remain closed to mark the consecration of Lord Ram’s temple in Ayodhya.

“On this day, there is a grand consecration program of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya. Keeping in view the public sentiments, we have decided that January 22 will be a dry day in the state. All types of shops including liquor, Bhang outlets will remain closed,” Chief Minister Mohan Yadav posted on his official X account in the night.

Transgenders In Bareilly To Not Take Money For Blessing Children Born On Jan 22

The ‘Kinnar’ community in Bareilly has said that they will not insist on taking the customary gifts and money from parents for blessing the children born on January 22, the day of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple.

“We will visit the houses of the families whose children are born on the day of ‘Pran Pratishtha’ at the temple and sing congratulatory songs,” Sharda, a member of the community, said.

“We will not ask for ‘neg’ (money or gifts) from these families for blessing their newborns, but gladly accept whatever they offer us,” they said. (PTI)

Ayodhya To Witness Cultural Presentations From Other States Ahead Ram Mandir Opening

Under the guidance of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, different cultures from across the country will meet in Ayodhya, the Chief Minister’s office said on Sunday.

In this sequence, several new events will take place, starting with Makar Sankranti (January 15). On various locations, including Ram Ki Paidi, Dharam Path, Tulsi Udyan, Circuit House, Saket College, etc., visitors will be acquainted with the cultural activities of different states. The event will introduce the cultural theme of the new Ayodhya.

From January 15, the renowned spiritual speaker Devkinandan Thakur will narrate the Ram Katha at Ram Katha Park. The Katha, which will run until January 23, will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

UP Launches Cleanliness Drive, Yogi Adityanath Joins In Ayodhya

The Uttar Pradesh government and several organisations on Sunday launched a statewide cleanliness drive, which will continue till January 22, the day of the consecration ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram temple.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took part in the campaign in Ayodhya, while other ministers and public representatives joined the drive elsewhere.

“On the call of respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, major cleanliness campaign was started from Shri Ayodhya Dham today. On this occasion, vehicles related to garbage disposal and cleanliness were also flagged off. We are dedicated to keeping the divinity and sanctity of Navya Ayodhya intact,” the chief minister posted on X.

BJP Launches Cleanliness Drive At Religious Places Ahead Of Ram Mandir Inauguration

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) started a cleanliness drive on Sunday as part of the Swachchata Abhiyan campaign at all religious places until January 22 when the country will witness the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Speaking with ANI, party chief JP Nadda said, “On PM Modi’s direction, the party has decided that starting from January 14 (Makar Sankranti) till January 22 (Pran Pratishtha of Ram Temple), we will hold a cleanliness drive at all the religious places…”

Earlier during the day, Mr Nadda participated in a cleanliness drive at Guru Ravidas Mandir in Delhi as part of the ‘Swachhta Abhiyaan’.

100 Dignitaries From 55 Nations To Attend Ram Mandir Inauguration

Around 100 heads from 55 countries, including ambassadors and MPs, have been invited to the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22nd, Swami Vigyananand, founder and global chairman of the World Hindu Foundation said on Sunday.

“Around 100 heads from 55 countries, including ambassadors and MPs, will witness Ram Lala Pran Pratishtha. We have invited the Korean Queen as well, who claims to be Prabhu Sri Ram Vansaj,” Swami Vigyananand said while speaking to ANI.

Woman Who Has Done Over 700 Postmortems Invited For Ram Mandir Inauguration

A 35-year-old woman autopsy assistant, who has conducted more than 700 postmortems, received an invitation from the Ram Mandir Trust for the Pran Pratistha program of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22.

Speaking to ANI, Santoshi Durga shared that she had served as a sanitation worker for the Jeevan Deep Committee at Narharpur Primary Health for nearly 18 years. Throughout this time, she conducted over 700 postmortems and received recognition from various societies for her contributions.

Stunned by the invitation, Ms Santoshi said, “Even in my whole life, I never thought that I would be called from Ayodhya, but Lord Ram has called me by sending an invitation letter.”

She revealed that when she received the letter, she was astonished, and tears of joy came out of her eyes.

Congress’ Meira Kumar Gets Invitation For Ram temple Inauguration

Vishva Hindu Parishad on Sunday said that senior Congress leader and former Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar has been formally invited to attend the consecration ceremony at Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.

An invitation to attend the consecration ceremony has also been extended to former deputy speaker of the Lok Sabha Kariya Munda, it added.

“RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sampark Pramukh Ramlal has given an invitation to Smt. Meira Kumar, former Speaker of the Lok Sabha and daughter of Babu Jagjivan Ram ji,” VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal said in post on X.

Temples In Mauritius To Organise Chanting Of Ramayana Verses Ahead Of Ram Temple Event

Day after the Mauritian cabinet announced a mandatory 2-hour break for Hindus working in public offices to enable them to attend local events being organised ahead of the opening of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, it has now been learnt that temples in the island country will organise chanting of verses from the epic ‘Ramayana’ ahead of the grand event in India.

Amid the growing public anticipation in India around the opening of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, later this month, Indians in the United States organised a car rally in Edison, New Jersey.

Nepal City Plans Events On Consecration Ceremony Ahead Of Jan 22 Event

Ahead of the January 22 consecration of the Ram temple at Ayodhya in India, Nepal’s Janakpur – believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ram’s wife Sita – is gearing up to join the celebrations with multiple cultural and religious events.

Sita’s other name is Janaki, daughter of King Janak of Janakpur. It is 220 kms southeast of Kathmandu and about 500-odd km east of Ayodhya.

“Our daughter, Mata Janaki was married to Lord Shri Ram. We are very elated and proud that the consecration of Ramlala will take place at Ayodhya. People of Janakpur were very happy when the Supreme Court of India had declared its final verdict (in the Ayodhya matter),” Nepal’s former deputy prime minister Bimalendra Nidhi said on Saturday.

“For the people of Janakpur, Shri Ram is not just a deity but also their son-in-law. People are happy that their daughter and the son-in-law are entering their own house,” added Nidhi, a senior Nepali Congress leader.

“Nepal is situated between India and China. Both India and China have an influence on Nepal and vice versa. However, in comparison, India has a deep cultural, geographical, and political connect with Nepal,” he said. (PTI)

Electric Auto Service to Start In Ayodhya Tomorrow Ahead Of Ram Temple Event

As the preparation for the ‘Pran Pratistha ceremony’ of Lord Ram Temple in Ayodhya is underway, the state transport department will start the service of a new-design electric auto to help commuters visit various religious programmes in the city.

According to the supervisor of the auto service, two types of electric auto, white and pink, will start in the city tomorrow. White autos will be driven by men, whereas women will run the pink vehicles. These electric autos will help commuters visit various religious programmes in the city.

Meanwhile, a meeting was held on Saturday between Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, a trust constituted to look after the construction and management of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, and government officials here in the temple town ahead of the much-awaited ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla.

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, General Secretary, Champat Rai, was also present in the meeting.

As per officials, discussions were held on the preparations for the grand event, scheduled later this month, where huge footfall is anticipated from across the country.

During the meeting, apart from Rai, Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal, the Inspector-General of Police and other police officers were present.

Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal said, “We had a meeting with the trust officials. Where the guests will stay, their mode of commuting, car movement, and car parking. 

The whole plan was discussed with the trust, and their suggestions were also taken.” (ANI)

 

Make UP Clean, Beautiful Before Ram Temple Event: Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday addressed village heads and panchayat representatives through video conference and called upon them to help make the state clean and beautiful before the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The chief minister emphasized that participation in a special cleanliness campaign would give the entire country a new message.

“January 22 is the day for a national celebration. After 500 years, the festival of Lord Rama’s arrival in the new, grand, and divine temple is not just for Ayodhya but a celebration for every village, every home, and every individual,” he said.

It is an unprecedented celebration, and preparations in every village and home should be in the same way, Adityanath said, adding that efforts should be made to celebrate the festival of Lord Ram in every home.

“Devotees should ensure temples are clean and decorated beautifully. The heads of the villages should awaken people with their efforts and make them understand the importance of cleanliness,” the chief minister said.

He also appealed to the village heads to work on solid and liquid waste management. (PTI)

“Police Using Maximum Technology For Security”: Ayodhya Top Cop

With security being one of the major factors in the upcoming Pran Pratishtha programme in Ram Mandir on January 22, Praveen Kumar, Inspector General (IG) said that the people of Ayodhya is ready to become host and police is making use of technology for security enhancement.

Praveen Kumar told news agency ANI that CCTVs are installed at various places and they are also using Artificial Technology (AI) to enhance their security.

“Ayodhya has been sensitive in security matters since the beginning. We have communicated to every person here to be alert and careful. The people of the entire Ayodhya are ready to host and are giving full cooperation in security. We are getting valuable input from places. We have also made maximum utilization of technology for security. CCTV cameras have been installed at various places and are also using ‘AI’ in this,” he said. (ANI)

Work Of Installing Doors At Ayodhya’s Ram Temple To Be Completed By Jan 19

Ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ram Mandir on January 22, the work of installing doors in the temple has reached its final stage, while the process of grinding and cleaning the stones for the third floor is underway at a fast pace.

The intention of the Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra Trust and the building construction committee is that as much work as possible should be completed before the programme on January 22, given that all the work will be done on a war footing.

Dharam Veer, the artisan who is constructing these doors, said that 16 doors have been placed so far and 4-5 more are yet to be placed.

“All work will be completed by January 19,” he said.

“I am feeling immense joy by working for Lord Shri Ram. The way we installed the gold studded doors on the main gate of the sanctum sanctorum of Ramlala, there was enthusiasm and joy in our minds. It is a very difficult task to express in words. I consider myself very fortunate that I am working for my Ramlala,” he added.

With the Pran Pratishta ceremony of Shri Ram Lala at the newly constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya approaching, preparations are in full swing for the mega event.

Thousands of VIP guests have received invitations from Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for the ceremony scheduled for January 22. The Trust has made elaborate arrangements to welcome and honor all attendees, presenting them with gifts that include ‘Ram Raj.’ 

As part of the celebration, Teerth Kshetra Trust will also distribute special ‘Motichoor laddus’ made from desi ghee as ‘Prasad’ to the guests.

Guests attending the Pran Pratistha ceremony on January 22 will receive a unique gift – soil extracted during the foundation excavation of the temple, referred to as ‘Ram Raj.’ 

The sacred soil from Ram Janmabhoomi will be carefully packed in boxes and presented to attendees during the ceremony. (ANI)

As the preparation for the ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is underway, the ‘Shri Ram Charan Paduka Yatra’ will leave from Chitrakoot on January 15.

The Yatra will start from Bharatkup, Chitrakoot via Prayagraj and will reach to its destination Ayodhya.

The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple will be held on January 22. Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya will begin on January 16, a week before the main ceremony.

Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Chief Priest Acharya Satyendra Das on Saturday said that “Ram Rajya” is coming in Ayodhya as Ram Lalla will be seated in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.

“We hoped that temple would be built but such a massive temple we never hoped or thought. The temple is beautiful. We are so happy to see the temple of Lord Ram. Ram rajya ab aa raha hai (Ram Rajya is coming) as Ram Lalla will be seated in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple in Ayodhya,” Acharya Das told ANI.

He further recalled the days when Ram Lalla’s idol appeared in the disputed land and said, “The Ram Lalla idol appeared in the disputed land on December 23, 1949, after which on the orders of the Court the people started worshipping. On March 1, 1992, I became the priest of Ram Lalla, before that many incidents like Karsevaks were attacked and other incidents took place. After such incidents and when Babri Masjid was demolished, we took Ram Lalla to a tent on December 6, 1992. Today I am happy that Ram temple is being built.”

Goa Minister Vishwajit Rane on Saturday said the grand opening of Ayodhya is about the whole nation coming together to celebrate its heritage and strengthening bonds.

The consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya will take place on January 22.

In a post on ‘X’, Mr Rane said, “Ayodhya’s grand opening is not just about one religion or a temple. It is a whole nation coming together, celebrating our heritage and strengthening our bonds.” 

It shows the power of faith, a bridge connecting young and old, leading people towards a future filled with devotion and peace, he said.

Uddhav Thackeray Demands Ram Temple Inauguration Be Performed By President Murmu

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday demanded that the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya be performed by President Droupadi Murmu as it is a matter of “national pride and country’s self-respect”.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Thackeray said he will also invite President Murmu to the Kalaram temple in Nashik, where he will pay a visit on January 22, the day of the Ayodhya temple consecration ceremony.

Mr Thackeray had earlier announced that on January 22, he along with his party leaders and office-bearers will visit the historic Kalaram temple in Nashik and perform ‘maha aarti’ on the banks of the Godavari river. A day later (on January 23), the party will also hold a convention of party functionaries in Nashik, where Mr Thackeray will address a rally.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to ensure complete accommodation arrangements for the devotees arriving in Ayodhya for Ram Lalla’s darshan after January 22.

According to an official release from the Chief Minister’s Office, Mr Adityanath has also prepared a blueprint. 

Following the directives of the Yogi government, arrangements are reportedly currently being made at the administrative level to accommodate 30,000 people every day.

Lord Ram To Be Presented With 2.5 Kg Bow

Ahead of the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, Lord Ram will get a 2.5 kg bow, which is traditionally with him. This will be given to the Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which was set up for the construction and management of the new temple, by Ayodhya-based Amava Ram Temple.

“Ahead of the ‘pran pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla (Lord Ram) in Ayodhya on January 22, we are getting bow and arrows for him from Chennai. On January 19, these will be donated to the Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust,” Shayan Kunal, a trustee of the Amava Ram Temple, told the news agency PTI.

“The bow has been made as per its description mentioned in Valmiki Ramayan. Descriptions about different arrows are also mentioned in it. The skilled Chennai-based artisans, who have been in this profession for the last 200 years, have made the bow. 23 carat of gold has been used to make the bow. About 600-700 grams of gold has been used to make the bow weighing 2.5 kg,” he added.

“As it is also said in our scriptures, we have to awaken divine consciousness in ourselves for the Yagya and worship of God. For this, fasts and strict rules have been prescribed in the scriptures, which have to be followed before consecration. Therefore, according to the guidance I have received from some pious souls and great men of the spiritual journey and according to the ‘Yama-Niyams’ suggested by them, I am starting a special ritual of 11 days from today,” he said.
