Headmaster collapses after unfurling tricolour at school in Odisha, dies | Bhubaneswar News – Times of India
The headmaster was taken to a nearby healthcare facility where doctors declared him dead.
Prafulla Chandra Sahu, the headmaster of Malleswari Project Primary School hoisted the flag at the school in the morning and fell to the ground soon after, complaining of chest pain, sources said.
Fellow teachers, with the help of some villagers, rushed him to the Community Health Centre in Krushnaprasad. Doctors attended to Prafulla immediately and tried to revive him, but he passed away, sources said.
Family members of Prafulla lodged a complaint at the Krushnaprasad police station in this regard. Police said they are investigating the matter.
“As per the information we gathered, the headmaster hoisted the flag at the school. He was about to return to his home when he complained of dizziness and fell down. The medical staff at the hospital told us that he was received dead at the hospital,” Sarat Naik, inspector at the police station, said.
The incident cast a pall of gloom in the village.
