Four arrested in Bihar journalist Vimal Kumar Yadav’s murder case | Patna News – Times of India



NEW DELHI: Four people were arrested in connection with the murder of journalist Vimal Kumar Yadav in Bihar‘s Araria district, police said on Saturday.
Vimal Kumar Yadav (35), who worked for a Hindi daily, was killed at his residence in Premnagar village, on Friday.
Bihar police said that eight people have been named as accused and four of them have been arrested.
Those arrested have been identified as Vipin Yadav, Bhavesh Yadav, Ashish Yadav and Umesh Yadav.
Two accused Rupesh Yadav and Kranti Yadav are in Araria jail and the police are taking them on remand, while 2 accused are absconding, reported ANI quoting Bihar Police.

“The assailants knocked at the gates of Yadav’s house around 5.30am and opened fire as soon as he opened the gates,” the Bihar Police had tweeted.
Meanwhile, JDU leader Neeraj Kumar said, “Within 24 hours, Police arrested the accused…raids were conducted in jail after victim’s family members gave names of suspect…thorough probe was done. Opposition must talk about that as well not just about the crime.”
