Family from Kurukshetra buried under debris after landslide hits tourist camp in Pauri Garhwal, 3 bodies recovered, search on for missing | Dehradun News – Times of India
“A joint team of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Pauri police recovered two bodies from the camp site in Mohan Chatti area of the district. One body had been recovered earlier,” SSP Pauri Garhwal, Shweta Choubey, told TOI.
A rescue operation is underway in search of the two missing children, Choubey added.
The victims have been identified as Kamal Verma, 36, and Nisha Verma, 37, both residents of HUDA Sector 5, Kurukshetra. The body of Monty Verma, 24, was recovered on August 14.
A girl, Kritika Verma, 10, was rescued from the camp site on August 14.
The landslide is believed to have hit the camp site in the intervening night of August 13 and 14, leaving six people buried under the debris.
