Cricket World Cup 2023: How and when to buy tickets for India matches


The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have officially announced that tickets for India’s matches in the upcoming ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 will be going on sale from August 30.

This announcement comes as the updated match schedule for the world’s biggest cricketing event is released. In anticipation of the ticket sales, fans are given the opportunity to register their interest starting from August 15 via the official ICC Cricket World Cup website.

To manage the high demand for tickets, the ticket sales will be conducted in phases. The sale of tickets for non-India warm-up matches and all non-India event matches will commence on August 25.

The first phase of the sale of tickets for India matches will begin from August 30, for the matches set to be played at Guwahati and Trivandrum.

Following this, tickets for India’s matches will be made available in stages from August 30 to September 3, based on the location of the matches. Tickets for the semi-finals and final will go on sale on September 15.

By registering, fans will be among the first to receive updates on ticket availability, thereby increasing their chances of securing a spot in the World Cup matches.

The revised schedule for the World Cup includes several exciting fixtures, with matches scheduled between top cricketing nations like England, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, and India. The matches are set to take place in various cities across India, including Dharamsala, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Chennai, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad.

25 August – Non-India warm-up matches and all non-India event matches

30 August – India matches at Guwahati and Trivandrum

31 August – India matches at Chennai, Delhi and Pune

1 September – India matches at Dharamsala, Lucknow and Mumbai

2 September – India matches at Bengaluru and Kolkata

3 September – India matches at Ahmedabad

15 September – Semi Finals and Final
