BJP to boost social media drive ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha polls | India News – Times of India



NEW DELHI: Given the significance of social media and its potential, BJP ahead of the 2024 elections will be launching “Shankhnaad” campaign to strengthen its social media machinery at state level.

The party has clubbed the states/ Union territories into seven zones and each zone’s zonal prabharis and volunteers engagement prabharis were appointed on Saturday for overseeing the implementation of the campaign. State level workshops are to be organised by August 30 which will also review the performance of the state social media team.
In a letter to the members from Arun Singh, national general secretary of BJP, stated that, “… under the leadership of national president Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji, will be launching the Shankhnaad campaign. Keeping the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections in mind and the potential and significance of machinery from state to mandal level and expand its on-ground social media network.”

The party in its two-pronged approach is going to conduct state and district level social media workshops and media volunteers’ meetings in the month of August and September.
The state social media convenors has been asked to come prepared with appointments in social media and IT departments from state till mandal level and details of volunteers and WhatsApp groups.
