Bhilwara Murder News: Minor girl murdered, burned in coal furnace in Rajasthan; villagers allege rape | Jaipur News – Times of India

JAIPUR: Unidentified suspects murdered a 14-year-old girl and burned her body in a coal furnace in a village of Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district on Wednesday.

The villagers suspect that the minor girl was first raped by the accused and then they murdered her in one of the most gruesome manners possible, presumably to erase all trails of evidence.
The heinous act shocked the locals and a large number of villagers descended around the furnace where an FSL team retrieved a charred bracelet, possibly belonging to the victim.

Senior Congress leader Dheeraj Gurjar met the locals and pledged compensation for the victim’s family.
He described the incident as one of the most gruesome ever to occur in this otherwise peaceful area.
Meanwhile, local police sources reported that they have detained a few suspects allegedly involved in the crime.
While the locals suspect that the girl was raped, the police sources claimed that the body was charred beyond recognition and it is difficult to ascertain anything at this stage.
The TOI tried to speak to district SP Adarsh Sidhu but he was unavailable for comment.
BJP leader Kalulal Gurjar who reached the village and met the victim’s family members alleged that the girl was raped and her body was burnt in the kiln, PTI adds.
Gurjar alleged that the police did not act promptly in the case and detained the suspected accused only after the villagers caught them.
(The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault.)
