Amit Shah in Rameswaram, says PM Modi fulfilled APJ Abdul Kalam’s dreams | India News – Times of India

RAMESWARAM: Union home minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had fulfilled the dreams of former President APJ Abdul Kalam.

Shah released a book titled ‘Dr APJ Abdul Kalam: Memories Never Die’ at a private hotel in Rameswaram. The senior BJP leader had flagged off Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai’s padayatra in Rameswaram on Friday.
At the function, Shah said it was Modi who realised the three vital dreams of Kalam. “Kalam, in his book ‘India 2020: Vision For the New Millennium’, sketched the roadmap for India’s development. I have read its translation thoroughly. He said three things primarily for the youth of the nation,” Shah said.

“The first was identifying India’s strengths and developing the nation on the basis of it. Secondly, we will have to develop a technology-based economy. Thirdly, adopting a balanced growth for India by developing both cities and villages and agriculture and industry,” he said. “In 2023, when we look back now under the leadership of Modi ji, we have fulfilled all three conditions and India is heading towards becoming a developed nation,” he said.
The book was authored by YS Rajan and Dr APJ M Nazema Maraikayar from their own experiences and translated by Srinivasan.
Shah said Kalam, who was a renowned scientist, was equally spiritual. “During his tenure, five missiles were made. If we look at the names of these five missiles, they were Prithvi, Agni, Akash, Nag and Trishul. We can understand his inclination towards spirituality from these names. He showed that a scientist can be successful in enhancing the well-being of the world when his soul is inclined towards spirituality,” he said.
Earlier in the day, Shah offered a special prayer at Ramanathaswamy temple in Rameswaram and visited Kalam’s memorial in Peikarumbu, a village near Rameswaram.
